The Eight Pillars
Pillar One: Accessibility
Our spaces are physically accessible and our practices are for all bodies. We consider your financial, communication, learning, safety and other access related barriers to fitness.
To create financial accessibility, Revolver Studios offers scholarships, sliding fee and free classes, as well as our "friend pass" system which allows folks who are able to pay for a monthly membership to share 1-2 free classes each month with another community member who perhaps cannot afford classes at this time. Pillar Two: Approachability
Our attitudes are positive, realistic, and predictable. Our processes are transparent. We acknowledge our own privilege is a barrier between ourselves and those we serve.
Pillar Three: Enjoyment
We provide fun moments and experiences to help you associate challenging physical work with happiness and success.

We teach and practice moving our bodies as a way to celebrate what they can do.
Moving our bodies is meant to be a joyful experience;
not a punishment or obligation.
Pillar Four: Community
We create conditions for meaningful connections between individuals undergoing similar experiences. We are leaders by example and we protect our communities’ values.
Our community works together to have connection and belonging.
We look and listen with open hearts and minds.
This is not a place of judgement, but rather,
understanding and kindness
Our motto is acceptance empowers, because we know that human beings grow and thrive through connection with one another.
We work to accept ourselves and each another just as we are, wherever we are at in our journey, because we know that an environment of safety and radical acceptance creates space for humans to grow in profound ways.
Pillar Five: Scope of Practice
We acknowledge our professional and personal limitations and do not prevent you from seeking a higher level of care for conditions outside our scopes of practice.
We implement evidence based practices and follow guidelines from major professional organizations.
Pillar Six: Full Health
We ensure your experiences are safe and enhance your overall quality of life.
We do not intimidate or shame; rather appropriately challenge you with consideration for your mental, emotional and physical health.
We believe in and practice Health at Every Size. H.A.E.S. principles help us advance social justice, create an inclusive and respectful community, and support people of all sizes in finding compassionate ways to take care of themselves.
We also believe mental health matters.
Our staff can offer referrals for health and wellness professionals outside our scope of practice to help you find the care you need.
Pillar Seven: Body-Positivity
We do not assume your ability based on what we do or do not know about you.
We create and hold space for you to exercise autonomy over your body, our relationship and your experience.
Body-positivity means celebrating the diverse bodies that exist in our world.
We honor differences in size, age, race, ethnicity, gender, dis/ability, sexual orientation, religion, class, and other human attributes.
We also work in the community to provide learning opportunities around body-positivity to help bring knowledge and speak out against body-based oppression.

We prioritize growing as professionals to better serve you. We regularly self-evaluate our practices and their alignment with the Eight Pillars.
